News!

1) Head over here and take a look Shannon Messenger's awesome blog contest in celebration of her book deal! She's giving away a bunch of really awesome stuff so you should check it out! Shannon's a super cool person and I can't WAIT to read her book!

2) For those of you who don't know... November is "National Novel Writing" month so if you haven't yet, you should check out the website at nanowrimo.org - the object is to write 50,000 words of a novel in 30 days. I'm going to take a swing at it this year!

3) And, if you're looking for some comic relief--http://inkygirl.com/wwfc/

4) Last, but not least... a question: What do you do to get motivated to write?

  1. My top writing motivator has been the dreams I have at night. I wake up and HAVE TO write. Good books come next. They help me see and feel what's possible. Third would have to be writer blogs.

  2. I have to agree with you! All of those are ways that I have received motivation at one time or another. I think a couple I would add to my list are: people-watching, and having a "fantasy life" - basically living a story in your head. Sometimes #1 leads to #2 which is ideal.
